I took this picture as I was sitting on my dock in the peace and quiet of a beautiful fall morning. Watching the herons fly and listening to the fish flop, I was amazed by finding God’s beauty all around me. Just look at that gorgeous sunrise over the St. Joe! About Me
My name is Christina, and I’m delighted to have you here. I love creating delicious sweets and sharing them with others. This has driven me to turn what I love into a little cottage bakery business and I’m excited to share my yummy creations with you.
My Journey
I am a wife to Tom and mom to three kids who aren’t so little anymore. We live in Leo, Indiana on the banks of the river near where the St. Joe River meets the Cedar Creek Reservoir. By day I’m a marketing analytics specialist for a medical malpractice insurance company and by night I bake and create tasty confections. I love all things sugary and I love sharing all the sweet treats that I create.
In December of 2022 I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer - stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. I spent 18 months in treatment - chemo, radiation, 3 different surgeries and lots of time laying on the couch recovering. During that time I binged all the TV baking shows. As soon as I was feeling well enough to get back in the kitchen I started mixing and baking and sharing once again.
Giving Back
I always said that once I came out on the other side of cancer I would find a way to give back to all those people that God used to work so hard to save my life and provide comfort to those that are facing this terrible disease.
