How it began…
In December of 2022 I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer - invasive ductal carcinoma, to be exact. I spent 18 months in treatment and lots of time laying on the couch recovering. During that time I binged all the TV baking shows. As soon as I was feeling well enough to get back in the kitchen I started baking once again.
I was determined to not only win my cancer battle, but to also somehow find a way to give back and bless others. My heart is filled with immense gratitude for the Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute (PCI) and all the beautiful people that are committed to making sure their patients feel safe, valued, loved and cared for just like their own family. After spending 18 months in treatment with chemo, 3 surgeries, radiation and lots of healing, it’s finally my turn to bless others.
For every purchase made from River View Sweets, 10% of all proceeds go to bake and deliver cookies to the patients and dedicated staff at PCI.
Each cookie represents a token of hope and is my way of sharing love, encouragement and a moment of respite during challenging times. Join me in making a difference by contributing to the well-being and morale of those fighting cancer as well as those who are dedicating their lives to those of us fighting this terrible disease. Together, we can bring smiles and a message of solidarity, one cookie at a time.
